Vaccine Against Envy: The Red String

Amazingly, the red string works in a similar way to modern vaccines. We wear it around the left wrist, and just like a weakened strain of virus which is injected into a person to give his immune system the strength to fight the real virus if it should ever attack us, the specific energy frequency of the color red broadcasts “danger”, protecting us from the dangers of envy, jealousy and resentment.

In addition, the string is processed in a unique way to add to its protective force. A long length of red string is wound around the tomb of Rachel the matriarch. Kabbalists consider Rachel the paradigmatic “mother”, and as such, a protective force always ready to defend her children. According to the Kabbalists the burial sites of great people are sources of the positive energy the exuded during their lives. By wrapping the red string around Rachel’s tomb, the string absorbs the energy of loving mothering and protection. By wearing this string this energy comes to protect us.

Truly amazing.

The Danger of the "Evil Eye"

We have all heard of the “Evil Eye.” But what is that, really? Where does envy, jealousy resentment originate from? It starts in the eyes, when we see something we want, or someone we are jealous of. Since the eyes are the source of these negative feelings, we have come to understand these emotions as “the evil eye.”

The Kabbalah teaches that this type of negative energy can seriously affect our spiritual well-being. This type of negativity can prevent us from reaching our goals of spiritual growth and personal transformation. Even worse, the “evil eye” can send us backward along a path of growth we’ve already traveled.

The Red String Protects from Jealousy

Do you know about the “Red String”? Revealed long ago by the ancient kabbalists, the red string works to protect those that wear it in two special ways. It is protection from jealous looks of people we come in contact with, and eliminates feelings of resentment and envy within ourselves.
The red string is worn around the wrist of the left hand, and is made of pure wool. Since the focus of the Kabbalah is on positive and negative energies and not necessarily on the “do’s and don’t’s” of behavior, it is of immeasurable importance that a person has a tool to help him maintain the proper energy in his life. The red string is just such a tool.

When people repeat the same mistakes in their relationships repeatedly it is because they have yet to discover the true reason for their difficulties. Most people are waiting for those around them to change, when what is really needed is for the person who is unhappy to change. The Kabbalah teaches that this transformation is the basis for healing ourselves and our relationships.

At the Kabbalah Centre the ancient wisdom is taught so that people can improve their relationships with themselves, their loved ones, their community, and finally transforming the world in which we live.

Light Dissipates the Darkness of Anger with the Kabbalah

The ancient wisdom of the Kabbalah teaches us to no longer focus on our “successes” but rather to learn how to help others. When we help those that we love our anger disappears. This is only natural at the level of positive and negative spiritual energies. Where the positive is influencing us and our environment the negative energies have no place to exist, and just vanish. It is like darkness trying to exist in a place where there is light. There is no way both can exist, and the light always overtakes darkness.

The Kabbalah Center sees as its goal to teach the wisdom of the Kabbalah to all who seek its solace, comfort and direction.

Making Your Self the Right Person with Kabbalah

Most people in the modern world wish to meet the ‘right’ person. Often this leads to disappointment and unhappiness. That is because the emphasis is wrong. According to the Kabbalah as taught at the Kabbalah Center, people should be focusing on becoming the right person. This is the true key to fulfilling, loving relationships. The ancient wisdom of the Kabbalah teaches that conflict, disagreements and problems are all chances for us to become that ‘right’ person. These opportunities give us the chance to learn to take responsibility, how to deal with conflict, and how we see our lives holistically.

The Kabbalah Centre is ready to take you on this journey to self-discovery and transformation.

Rav Berg Transmits the Kabbalah to Us All

It is amazing to think that not very long ago only an exclusive group of people had access to the incredible wisdom and guidance found in the Kabbalah. With the founding of the Kabbalah Center Rav Berg and his wife Karen have helped create a world-wide movement of people studying and transforming themselves using the great wisdom of Kabbalah. Their goal is to transform the entire world, one person at a time, into a world of loving, peace and perfection.

I Got to the Light

At the Kabbalah Centre I was intriqued by the emphasis on self-transcendence and connection with the spiritual light that fills the world. When a person acts for the benefit of others, diminishing his own selfish tendencies, especially those of jealousy, envy, and resentment, he is able to connect to the sourc of all goodness in the world and bring that goodness into his own life and to the life of others. The Kabbalah Center therefore becomes the place where we can begin to heal the world through the great Light, source of all goodness.

Kabbalah Centre publishes "Chumash"

The Kabbalah Centre has published a Chumash. Chumash comes from the Hebrew word for five, and it refers to the Five Books of Moses. This Chumash is unique in that it gives a Kabbalah commentary to the Pentateuch! I have just got this Chumash, which is one volume - on the first book of the Pentateuch.

The Chumash is edited by Yehuda Berg, Rav Berg and Karen Berg's son.

God's names

The names of God have great power. Simply reading - or even scanning with your eyes - these names can lead to many positive outcomes. The Kabbalah Center, founded by Rav Berg and his family, has brought the Kabbalah and Kabbalah studies to the masses and to the public's conscience. The Kabbalah Centre incorporates the reading, scanning and chanting of the Kabbalistic divine names.

Interestingly, these names are all in Hebrew - Kabbalah is based in the Jewish religion, and as with the whole basic framework of all the major works of Judaism, are in Hebrew.

The question...

Are all the answers available on the internet?
I have questions about life and I do not know where to look for the answers. The easiest thing to do is simply sit at home, log in to the internet and find the sites that can offer me some quiet contemplation. Anyone know about the study of Kabbalah online - and more importantly, whether it can help understand life?

Kabbalah centers on Zohar

A bunch of my friends have told me that the central text of the Kabbalah is the Zohar. This is an ancient work written by a Jewish Sage over 1800 years ago, and it forms the basis for the Kabbalah.

The problem is that this text is in Hebrew, or even worse, Aramaic - so there is no way to understand. The good thing is that if you are looking for anything today, you simply go and online and research it. There aren't any translations that I know of, but places like the Kabbalah Center (The one with Rav Berg and his wife Karen and his kids Michael and Yehuda Berg) offer classes in English on Kabbalah.

So, Kabbalah centers on the Zohar and other foreign language texts, but there are people - like at the Kabbalah Centre - who will do the work of translating and explaining it.

Opening Worlds

The Kabbalah Center has opened the world of the Kabbalah to the public who cannot understand the classic Hebrew and Aramaic texts of the Kabbalah. Rav Berg has studied and continues to study the original Kabbalah texts, in the original Hebrew and Aramaic, and through the Kabbalah Center which he founded, he disseminates this content to anyone who so desires to study it. The Kabbalah Centre is run by Rav Berg together with his wife, Karen Berg, and also his two sons. For anyone toying with entry into the world of Kabbalah, it is essential that the Kabbalah Center be considered.

Kabbalah is an intellectual pursuit

Even today, when there seems to be an overwhelming international effort to separate state and religion, there are very few communities that are not led – at least in part – by an intellectual combined with moral/religious leadership. It is thus essential when choosing a field of intellectual interest that its intellectual value be considered together with its moral and ethical worth. (Consider the tremendous impact Rav Berg's students are having.)

The field of Kabbalah is a prime example of an intellectual pursuit that has engaged humanity throughout our known history. The Kabbalah texts we have today have existed for over 2000 years, while the Kabbalah itself as a science and field of study has been existence for over 4000 years. Aside from a rich history and the deepest dimensions of thought and investigation, the Kabbalah is an entire world of ethics and morality which enriches whoever comes into contact with it, ask anyone who has attended lectures and classes at the Kabbalah Center for their impressions of Kabbalah in this respect.

Kabbalah

Something to consider before studying Kabbalah or attending lectures at Kabbalah Centers. For an introduction to philosophical thought it is essential that one turn to the correct sources. There are many schools of philosophy that one may consider, and as far as intellectual study, it is quite clear that the examination and investigation required to delve into any one of these schools will lead to accomplishments and achievements. Of course, as with any study, after mastering the approaches of the various schools, one will see the strengths and weaknesses of each school, and naturally, one will gravitate to one school over another.

The pursuit of knowledge and intellectual accomplishment has stood at the center of society throughout the ages, and this is something which has improved society and urged change and advancement. While the existence of an independent academia has been prevalent in societies across the globe, often it is the intellectual establishment that provides the leadership – both lay and religious – that stands at the helm. Religious leadership has flourished in different societies. Of course, there are those where it flourished more, and other cultures where is flourished less. Look at the flourishing of the Kabbalah Centre, for an example of something that has flourished in our times.
